Turner Field was converted from the 1996 Summer Olympics' Centennial Olympic Stadium into a baseball park after the Games. The Braves played here for 20 seasons before moving to Truist Park in suburban Cobb County in 2017. Georgia State University now uses the stadium for football.

  • The stadium was originally built as Centennial Olympic Stadium for the 1996 Atlanta Games, hosting track and field events and the opening and closing ceremonies.

  • Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and John Smoltz pitched many of their greatest games here during Atlanta's dynasty years of the 1990s.

  • Georgia State University purchased the stadium in 2017 and converted it to a football venue, removing the baseball diamond.
