Polo Grounds
New York Giants
The Polo Grounds hosted more than 70 years of baseball in upper Manhattan, serving as home to the Giants, Yankees (as tenants), and finally the expansion Mets in 1962–63. It was the site of Bobby Thomson's 'Shot Heard 'Round the World' in 1951 and Willie Mays' legendary over-the-shoulder catch in the 1954 World Series.
