Ebbets Field is the most mourned ballpark in baseball history. For 44 seasons it was the beating heart of Brooklyn, where Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color barrier in 1947 and the 'Boys of Summer' Dodgers played before heartbroken fans watched them depart for Los Angeles after 1957.
